COE prices close with mixed results in latest bidding exercise
The prices of category E vehicles saw the highest increase of $5,406 to $39,406.
Certificate of entitlement (COE) premiums closed with mixed results in the latest bidding exercise, an announcement revealed.
Premiums for category B vehicles, which are larger and more powerful, witnessed the highest increase of $5,406 from the last bidding exercise to $39,406. A total of 1,677 bids were also reported.
Prices for open category COEs, which can be used for any vehicle type, also jumped $2,988 and closed at $39,889.
Motorcycle premiums also closed at $3,554, up from $3,081 in the last exercise.
Meanwhile, premiums of category A, or cars up to 1600cc and 130bhp, recorded the largest dip by $1,922 to close at $26,667 from $28,589. However, it received the highest amount of bids at 1,902.
Commercial vehicles and buses under category C saw a $490 drop in premiums from the last bidding exercise in May, declining to $24,599 from $25,089.
A total of 6,180 bids were received in the latest bidding exercise.
