LTA floats grants for enhanced commuter mobility
It will co-fund up to 80% of construction costs of amenities.
The Land Transportation Authority (LTA) has launched the Active Commuter Grant (ACG) which will provide end-of-trip facilities to active work commuters, according to a press release.
Under the ACG, the LTA will co-fund up to 80% or $80,000 of construction costs of amenities like showers, lockers, signages and security features. It is part of the agency’s efforts to promote commuting as a mode of transport.
This project is an upgrade of the Travel Smart Grant (Developer) scheme which will have a wider eligibility criteria and expand existing developments carrying out retrofitting works.
Developers can apply for the ACG from 2 November 2019 to 30 June 2021.
