A look inside the rebranded Riverview Hotel’s $25m renovation

It becomes the first Four Points brand in Singapore.

With a comprehensive $25 million spent on renovation and remodelling work after more than 16 months, the former Riverview Hotel at Havelock Road has been transformed and re-branded to Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview. It is set to meet the increasing demands for mid-market accommodations in Singapore.

The 21-storey hotel is the first Four Points brand in Singapore and is now part of a family of more than 200 Four Points in nearly 40 countries worldwide – featuring 476 stylish and contemporary guest rooms. Hotel facilities include a fitness centre, an outdoor pool and 876 square meters of meeting and ballroom space. In addition, guests may enjoy free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, complimentary bottled water, and signature breakfast with fresh coffee.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwideand Keck Seng Hotel Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Keck Seng Group officially launched the Four Points brand in Singapore on 1 July 2016. Four Points Singapore, Riverview marked the entry of the brand and further solidifies Starwood’s presence in Singapore.

“The signing of Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview underscores Starwood’s multi-brand growth strategy in the country,” said Rajit Sukumaran, Senior Vice President, Acquisition & Development, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific. “It is also an example of our conversion-friendly approach and our ability to convert hotels in a short amount of time as we strive to maximise value for our partners and create compelling experiences for our guests.”

Located by the Singapore River and within close proximity to the central business district, the hotel was a strategic conversion from the former Riverview Hotel on 382 Havelock Road. The prime location is also a short distance from Boat Quay and Clarke Quay, which offers a multitude of dining and entertainment options.

“As the region’s key tourism and MICE destination, Singapore continues to offer both leisure and business travellers a plethora of world-class meeting facilities and entertainment options,” said Charlie Dang, Regional Vice President, Southeast Asia, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific.

Four Points by Sheraton Singapore houses two wining and dining destinations that sit along the iconic Singapore River.

Four Points Eatery is an all-day dining concept that serves up a range of signature a la carte eats and by 1 August 2016, it will be launching Oceania seafood buffet. The Best Brew meanwhile is a newly innovated lobby bar which boasts its own exclusive craft beer, international brews, bar bites and regular screening of all the top sporting events from around the world. It also features live band music on weekdays to a chill-out vibe for those who need a break away from the bump and grind of a stressful workday.
