Small car COE premiums bounce back, up $49,751

Premiums spiked 3.6% from $48,000.

Passenger car certificate of entitlement premiums bounced back up again during the second bidding for the month after falling significantly in the bidding exercises for December.

In the final bidding exercise of 2016, premiums for Category A cars were up by $1,751 to $49,751. For Category B cars, premiums surge to $51,109, a significant increase from $46,229 in the first bidding exercise this month.

For Category D (motorcycles), premiums were around the same at $6,101.

Category C (Goods vehicles and buses) were down to $49,500, while open category premiums were around the same at $50,389.
