Injured Tiger suffers 22% drop in passengers

Not back to pouncing form yet, Tiger Airways recommenced Australian operations with significantly reduced capacity.

DMG Research noted, “Tiger Airways reported a 22% slump in passengers to 344,000 for the month of August, not unexpected given the flying freeze for the Australian operations.”

Average load factor dropped to 76%, compared to 86% in the previous corresponding period.

In addition, the resumed flights are on a limited schedule relative to August 2010.
