Changi Airport sees 5.9% YoY passenger growth in Q2 2025

This growth was largely driven by a rise in travel between Singapore and key markets, with China and Indonesia showing particularly strong growth.

Changi Airport saw 17.5 million passengers passing through the airport during the second quarter of 2025, marking a 5.9% YoY increase.

This growth was largely driven by a rise in travel between Singapore and key markets such as China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, and India, with China and Indonesia showing particularly strong growth.

In terms of air traffic, Changi recorded 516,000 aircraft movements in Q2 2025, an increase of 6.2% compared to the same period last year.

Air cargo also saw a positive trend, with cargo throughput increasing by 8% from Q2 2024 levels. The airport’s top air cargo markets included China, the USA, Hong Kong, Australia, and India.

As of now, Changi Airport handles over 7,200 weekly flights connecting Singapore to more than 170 cities across 50 countries.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
