Hill International appoints Steve Briggs as vice president & executive director
Mr. Briggs will be based in Singapore for his new role.
In a release, Hill International, announced the appointment of Steve Briggs as Vice President & Executive Director. To be based in Singapore, Steve will be responsible for all delay-related expert services of the Company's Construction Claims and Consulting Group.
“Steve’s addition to the Hill team further strengthens our delay capabilities in the region,” said Derek Nelson, Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director, Asia. “I believe Steve’s remarkable expert track record and experience of testifying in both international arbitration and litigation in various jurisdictions is exactly what this growing market needs and will enable us to enhance delivery of our quality services throughout Asia,” Derek added.
In 2008 Steve gained accredited mediator status with the Institute of Arbitrators. Steve has written and presented a number of articles on programming matters such as the ownership of float, the preparation of standard methods of programming, and the use of ICT in the preparation of claims. Steve was also one of the protagonists in the ‘Great Delay Analysis Debate’ held at King’s College in London under the auspices of the Society of Construction Law.
Prior to joining Hill, Steve was Head of International operations and a Senior Managing Director at FTI Brewer Consulting (Forensic and Litigation practice) with overall responsibility for planning matters in all forms of dispute resolution in the UK & UAE.
Steve earned a Diploma in Arbitration from the College of Estates Management and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
