SBR: What are your previous experiences and positions held that contributed to who you are as an entrepreneur today?
I worked my way up and it is quite audacious of me to change career paths. My working experience is quite diverse. After graduating with a diploma in accountancy from Ngee Ann, I went to do events in Republic Poly for Open House, PM Visit, Clean and Green Initiatives etc. After a year, I went to university and worked in Ducktours, relief teaching, tuition and toy shop etc. I was also with two startups dealing with music, mobile advertising etc.

After university, I took on jobs in banking and real estate, where i picked up knowledge and skills in business development, sales, and finance. Then I started my business with clients in finance and e-commerce.

I would like to be in the marketing arena but I did not study marketing. After my startup, I worked in SME companies where I grew my network in the startup space, co-working, bitcoin, makers etc. A few of my friends own restaurants and hence I started my food blog and gained understanding of the F&B industry.

I am a self-taught digital marketer. I worked in a PR company and also in a digital marketing agency, where I was in direct liaison with Google and vested time in digital marketing training.

Other positions held:
UOB - Personal Banker
Courier Man - Managing Director
Happy Marketer - Associate Consultant
ZenRooms - Digital Marketer, APAC (Current)

SBR: What are your key business philosophies?
- Reliable (Honest, working hard, ensure your word is translated to action)
- Excellence (Attention to details, Doing the extra mile)
- Swift (Timely completion)
- Friendly (Open mind, Approachable, Networking)

SBR: Can you give us a glimpse of what you will talk about at the SBR Industry Insights Series?
I will share my insights on the digital marketing aspects of the hospitality industry: Social Media, Paid Media, Inbound Marketing, UI/UX, etc.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
