Dasin Retail Trust to hold EGM on internalisation of the trustee-manager

Fifteen investors have proposed to remove Dasin Retail Trust Management as trustee-manager of DRT.

SGX-listed Dasin Retail Trust (DRT) will hold an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on or before 22 January 2024 to discuss the proposed removal of Dasin Retail Trust Management (DRTM) as its trustee manager.

In November, 15 investors namely Juniperus Pte Ltd, Tao Naiqun, Un Chong San, Chui Ka Chun Michael, Tan Eng Siong, Liu Shiyuan, Drift Joy Limited, Feng Guomin, Zhang Jieyan, Li Qunying, Li Zheng Ran, Shining Scene Investments Limited, Li Jiaming, Feng Youzhen and Swift Chance International Limited have proposed to internalise the trustee-manager function.

The investors who proposed the internationalisation of the trustee-manager function, collectively known as the “Requisitionists,” hold more than 10% of the total voting rights of all the unitholders of the trust.

“The Trustee-Manager will make further announcements on the SGXNET in the event there are any material developments which warrant disclosure, in compliance with its obligations under the Listing Manual,” the DRT board said.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
