High Court arranges pre-trial conference on ESR Group court application

It begins 13 July 2023 for further directions on the final hearing.

Recent news reports showed that the Singapore High Court dismissed the interim injunction made by ESR Group to declare Quarz’s Capital’s resolution involving Sabana Reit as invalid.

In a reaction to this, ESR Group said it was gratified over the expediting of the final hearing to clarify the situation from the High Court.

“A swift decision is necessary to ensure that the value of Sabana REIT is preserved. Our aim in seeking to pause the EGM has been to ensure that the EGM proceeds on the correct footing, proper processes are followed, and Quarz’s resolutions are examined in a forum where facts and truth are valued more than false claims,” it said. 

ESR said it plans to include Quarz in the application to ensure that all parties can air their side.

“This will ensure that no unnecessary disruption is caused to the REIT by any further public discourse,” said ESR Group.
