Lendlease REIT appoints Penelope Ransom as chairperson

The board reshuffle takes effect on 30 June.

Lendlease Global Commercial REIT's manager has appointed Penelope Jane Ransom as chairperson of the board and Guy Alexander Cawthra as executive director, effective 30 June.

Ransom, an existing non-independent non-executive director, succeeds Justin Marco Gabbani as chairperson and joins the Audit and Risk Committee.

She has served on the board since November 2023 and remains a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Environmental, Social, and Governance Committee.

Meanwhile, Cawthra will be responsible for setting the direction and leading the execution of the REIT's strategies and policies, overseeing day-to-day management with the support of key management personnel.

He also oversees portfolio management, capital deployment, acquisitions, financing, and sustainability initiatives.

"Mr Cawthra's appointment has been recommended by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and approved by the Board," the manager said in a statement.

Following the changes, the board comprises Ransom as chairperson and non-independent non-executive director, Tsui Kai Chong as lead independent non-executive director, Lee Ai Ming and Simon John Perrott as independent non-executive directors, and Cawthra as executive director.

The manager also appointed Ransom to the Audit and Risk Committee. Tsui chairs the committee, whilst Lee, Perrott, and Ransom serve as members.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
