Singapore ranks 6th globally in average wealth in 2025

Median wealth ranked 20th globally at $125,364.

Singapore ranked sixth globally for average wealth per adult at about $685,382 (US$527,217) in 2025, whilst its median wealth ranked 20th at around $125,364 (US$96,434), according to the UBS Global Wealth Report 2026.

Global personal wealth rose 10.8% in US dollar terms in 2025, up from 4.6% in 2024 and 4.2% in 2023, marking its fastest growth since 2017.

Switzerland topped the ranking with average wealth per adult of about $1.18m (US$910,382), followed by the US, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, and Australia.

Europe, the Middle East, and Africa recorded the strongest regional growth at 17.5%, followed by the Americas at 8.5% and Asia-Pacific at 5.9%.

UBS said the number of US dollar millionaires increased by 1.5% in 2025, adding nearly one million millionaires worldwide.

The US accounted for more than 440,000 of the new millionaires, whilst more than half of global personal wealth remained concentrated in the US and mainland China.

"Global wealth is evolving at pace, with growth increasingly shaped by shifting economic conditions, technological change, and new sources of opportunity across markets," said Iqbal Khan, Co-President of UBS Global Wealth Management.

Robert Karofsky, Co-President of UBS Global Wealth Management, said global wealth had risen for a third consecutive year, with average individual wealth increasing faster than global economic growth.

The report said future wealth gains would increasingly depend on access to investable assets and the ability to diversify portfolios.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
