IREIT Global manager appoints Peter Viens as new CEO

Viens will replace d’Estienne d’Orves .

IREIT Global’s manager has picked Peter Viens as its new chief executive officer (CEO), succeeding Louis d’Estienne d’Orves.

d’Estienne d’Orves was IREIT’s CEO since 2001 and has left the company to join Tikehau Capital.

Before this appointment, Viens held senior positions in corporate real estate departments and is a fund manager at Sofidy, where he has worked for over seven years.

In addition, the manager has also appointed Emilio Velasco as the new chief investment officer (CIO) on a part-time basis.

Velasco will work directly with the CEO, overseeing the investment and asset management functions for IREIT.

Velasco is the Head of Real Estate (Spain & Portugal) at Tikehau Capital, where he oversees strategic planning and leads investment and real estate management teams.

Apart from his role as CIO, he has been promoted to Head of Real Assets Iberia at Tikehau Capital and co-head of Real Estate Acquisition at Tikehau Investment Management whilst maintaining his current responsibilities.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
