CapitaLand Residential appoints Wong Heang Fine as CEO

Former SembCorp Engineers and Constructors chief temporarily maintains role of developing business in Gulf region.

CapitaLand Limited on Monday announced that Mr Wong Heang Fine has assumed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position at CapitaLand Residential Singapore, following the departure of Ms Patricia Chia who is leaving the company to spend time with her family. Mr Wong will concurrently continue in his present role of developing CapitaLand’s business in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, according to a CapitaLand report.

Mr Liew Mun Leong, President & CEO of CapitaLand Group, said: “Patricia has worked with me in various capacities over the years. She joined Pidemco Land in 1996 and, given her excellent execution skills, she has played a key role in establishing CapitaLand Residential Singapore as a leading developer in Singapore today. She has now requested to step down to spend more time with her family and I have acceded to her request. Heang Fine, with his track record in the areas of engineering and construction globally, will bring a new perspective to the Singapore residential business as we enter the next phase of growth. I have full confidence that Heang Fine, supported by a dedicated and experienced Singapore residential team, will lead our present business to even greater heights. On behalf of the Board and Management of CapitaLand, I wish to record our appreciation and thanks for Patricia Chia’s contributions to the Group.”
