Soh Ming
Soh Ming is the managing director of Volt Auto, where he leads Dongfeng Singapore’s market entry and business development efforts in the electric vehicle sector. With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, he is responsible for driving strategic growth and establishing Dongfeng’s presence in Singapore.
Prior to this, he was the founder and managing director of Icon Cars, a digital-first automotive business launched during the pandemic with an initial capital of $1,000. Under his leadership, the company became the first in Singapore to utilise social media platforms as a primary sales channel for cars, disrupting traditional models and setting new industry benchmarks. He successfully scaled and exited the business in 2023.
His earlier entrepreneurial experience includes running an e-commerce venture focused on the US market, where he managed end-to-end product development and digital marketing. He is self-taught in online marketing and has hands-on expertise in campaign testing, content creation, and consumer targeting. Soh Ming also held sales leadership roles at PacificLight Power and Grab, where he managed large teams and led market expansion initiatives.
