Tanya Heng
Tanya Heng is Vice President Human Resources for the APAC geography at IBM where she is focused on strengthening and accelerating strategies for leadership development, talent management, and employee engagement. Tanya brings more than two decades of Human Resources experience from a variety of senior and international human resources positions with IBM and has a successful track record of developing and implementing human resources strategies aligned to business strategies. Throughout her career, Tanya drives a strong focus on building a disciplined but adaptive talent management process that ensures IBM's talent has the institutional support to thrive, especially women.
Previously, Tanya was Director of HR for the ASEAN market where she was responsible for leading the development and implementation of HR policies and practices that touched more than 12000 employees in 6 countries. Tanya also served as Director of Business & Technical Leadership for the IBM Global Sales and Distribution Group. In this role where she was based in IBM's headquarters in Armonk, she was responsible for identifying and developing emerging leadership talent, determining candidacy for senior leaders across IBM. She designed and implemented several signature development solutions for critical leadership roles around the world, such as Country General Managers and Branch Managers.
Tanya holds an economics degree from the University of London awarded by the London School of Economics.
