Daily Briefing: Singapore eases policy as economy narrowly avoids recession; SIA restarts longest non-stop flights to the US

Singapore’s central bank eased monetary policy for the second time this year as the economy narrowly avoided a technical recession last quarter. The Monetary Authority of Singapore said it will reduce “slightly" the pace of appreciation in the currency, while leaving the width and center of the policy band unchanged. Read more here.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) said it would restart non-stop flights to Los Angeles and New York in the United States using a new ultra-long-range variant of Airbus A350 aircraft. Find out more here.
