GE Vernova eyes $27.2m gas turbine investment in Singapore
It will leverage artificial intelligence and hire over 100 technical roles.
GE Vernova plans to invest $27.2m (USD$20m) to develop its High Efficiency, Air-Cooled (HA) gas turbines at its Advanced Manufacturing Repair Technology (AMRT) Centre in Singapore.
The company said it will leverage artificial intelligence and hire over 100 technical roles in the next five years.
GE Vernova’s H-Class Combined Cycle can burn up to 50% by volume of hydrogen when blended with natural gas, with a technology roadmap to achieve 100% hydrogen in the next decade, supporting Singapore's decarbonisation efforts.
Currently, over one-third of GE Vernova’s HA gas turbines are located in or are on order for Asia as the percentage of HA turbines in the region is also expected to grow.
