Asia Power's Chairman Sha Guangwen resigns

Sha Guangwen was also a Member of Nominating Committee, Chairman of Asia Power Performance Share Scheme Committee, and Chairman of Asia Power Share Option Scheme 2010 Committee.

The Board of Asia Power Corp announced the resignation of Sha Guangwen as Chairman for personal reasons.

Sha Guangwen, 48, was responsible for ensuring the effective working of the Board. Other responsibilities are scheduling of meetings, preparing meeting agenda in consultation with the CEO; assisting in ensuring the Group’s compliance with the Code; and leading the Board in deliberation and resolution of corporate affairs and management actions, according to an Asia Power report.

Sha Guangwen was appointed to the post 1 February 2011.
