Experian leads US$10m series B investment in Malaysian fintech startup Jirnexu

Jirnexu operates financial comparison website, RinggitPlus.

Malaysian fintech startup Jirnexu has raised US$10m in a series B follow-on investment round led by Experian and with the participation of SBI Group.

Jirnexu operates RinggitPlus.com, a comparison website for a wide range of financial products that includes credit cards, loans and insurance products.

Experian’s strategic investment and partnership provide Jirnexu’s existing marketplaces with improved performance in demand generation, better eligibility matching through analytics and more seamless consumer experiences.

The recent funding round comes on the heels of an earlier US$11m Series B round as Jirnexu positions for 100% growth by end-2018.

“We are excited about this investment as it will enable us to personalise recommendations for our customers more accurately. The ability to match consumer profiles with suitable financial products or services will greatly improve access to credit. Besides technology from Experian, the investment will also be used to strengthen our services and FinTech solutions portfolio,” Yuen Tuck Siew, CEO of Jirnexu said in a statement.
