MoneyHero posts first quarterly profit on cost cuts, AI efficiency gains
Lower tech, marketing and staff expenses supported its $636,000 quarterly net profit.
MoneyHero Group reported a net profit of approximately $636,000 (USD500,000) in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2025, its first quarterly profit since listing driven by reductions in technology, marketing and employee expenses, according to unaudited results.
The company said this compared with a net loss of $23.95m (USD18.8m) in the previous year. Adjusted EBITDA also turned positive at around $891,000 (USD700,000) in Q4 2025, from a loss of $3.69m (USD2.9m) a year earlier.
Technology costs fell 59% for the year, whilst employee benefit expenses declined 33% to $20.63m (USD16.2m).
Revenue rose 27% year on year (YoY) to $25.47m (USD20m) in the quarter, whilst total operating costs and expenses fell 15% to $27.26m (USD21.4m).
For the full year 2025, net loss narrowed to $6.62m (USD5.2m) from $48.15m (USD37.8m) in 2024. Revenue declined 8% to $93.49m (USD73.4m).
Adjusted EBITDA loss improved to $8.15m (USD6.4m) from $30.19m (USD23.7m) a year earlier.
Revenue growth in the fourth quarter was led by Singapore, which rose 56% YoY to $10.06m (USD7.9m), and Hong Kong, which increased 27% to $11.97m (USD9.4m).
Together, the two markets accounted for 86% of quarterly revenue.
Insurance and wealth products accounted for 30% of Q4 revenue, up from 29% a year earlier. Combined revenue from these segments rose 31% YoY to $7.51m (USD5.9m).
For the full year, insurance revenue increased 11% to $11.59m (USD9.1m), whilst wealth revenue rose 19% to $12.86m (USD10.1m). The two segments together made up 26% of total revenue, compared with 21% in 2024.
MoneyHero said AI automation is being used across operations, with its systems handling up to 70% of customer service queries and resolving 47% without human intervention in December 2025.
The company ended the year with $39.74m (USD31.2m) in cash and cash equivalents and $47.76m (USD37.5m) in net current assets as of 31 December 2025.
