Singapore's 10 hottest multi-restaurateurs

One of them is a young restaurateur at age 22.

Singapore's restaurant industry has become more appealing over the last few years; not just because of the quality of new restaurants opening everyday but also the people behind them who have their own success stories to tell.

Singapore Business Review surveyed several experts in the restaurant industry to name multi-restaurateurs who are making a buzz. They are industry personalities who have exemplified dedication and excellence amidst a more difficult environment. Some of them have opened new restaurants in the last three years while others are seen starting new concepts in the future.

Citing official statistics from the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory, Colliers International said that a total of 537 restaurants closed in 2012. Amongst them, it said, include some eateries managed by Japanese restaurant group RE&S, and Chinese resaurant chain operator TungLok Group which cited manpower crunch as a main reason for shutting down. It was reported that the TungLok Group would not be opening any new restaurants in Singapore for a while.

Our list however includes restaurateurs who are seen to continue local and international expansion.  They are arranged in no particular order.
