Business meeting capacity to scale up with more pre-event testing

Business-to-business events are among the acitivities that can allow more attendees by 24 April.

More people can attend business-to-business events like meetings, conferences and exhibits by 24 April, provided that participants undergo pre-event testing.

"Currently, business-to-business events being piloted and approved by Singapore Tourism Board (STB) may have up to 250 attendees, in zones of no more than 50 attendees each. If pre-event testing is implemented, these events will be allowed to have up to 750 attendees, in zones of no more than 50 attendees each. STB will release the updated Safe Business Events framework and application details subsequently," the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

Participants must be tested before attending, and no more than 24 hours before leaving the event, either on the event venue or a dedicated testing facility.

Participants who test positive for COVID-19 would not be allowed to attend.

Other activities that can allow for more participants with pre-event testing are wedding ceremonies and receptions, live performances and seated sports events.
