SGX’s healthcare stocks averaged 6.0% gain YTD

SGX lists 16 stocks on the Mainboard and nine Catalist stocks that are categorised to the Healthcare Sector - the combined market cap is $28b.

According to SGX, including dividends, the average return of the 25 stocks in the year thus far has been 6.0%, taking the 12 month return to 14.8%. The SGX Healthcare Index has gained 5.5% in the year thus far and 18.2% over the past 12 months.

The five best performing healthcare stocks in the year to date have been ISEC Healthcare, Q & M Dental Group, Biosensors International, Cordlife Group and STAR Pharmaceutical. They have a combined market capitalisation of S$2 billion and generated an average year to date total return of 18.8%.
