New luxury hotels spice up Singapore’s hospitality scene

Check out these new openings in Q3.

Three new upscale hotels opened their doors to travellers in the third quarter. According to JLL, these new openings added 628 rooms to Singapore's luxury hospitality market, while other new properties are also expected to launch before the year ends.

The new openings in Q3 include the 387-room D'Resort@Downtown East, the 41-room Hotel Vagabond Singapore, as well as The South Beach hotel which opened partially with approximately 200 rooms.

Some 2,277 rooms have been added to Singapore's luxury hotel market as at September, the report noted.

Other significant launches planned for 2015 include the 157-room The Patina, Capitol Singapore which will boost luxury hotel stock in the city-state.

Other hotel openings in Q4 include the 298-room ibis Styles at MacPherson Mall and the 264-room Hotel Grand Central in the Orchard Area.
