Singaporeans rank third globally in overseas travel spending

They spend an average of US$2,966 on overseas travel.

Singaporeans are amongst the top spenders when travelling overseas, ranking third globally and second in Asia.

On average, Singaporeans spend US$2,966 on overseas travel.

Citing a TripAdvisor study, Merchant Machine said one in two Singaporean holidaymakers book an on-trip activity before they arrive at their destination.

Merchant Machine ranked countries based on 2022 tourism data from the United Nations.

Globally, Australians spend the most on holidays abroad at US$3,078. Among Asians, South Koreans top the list with US$3,040.
