Banyan Tree names Ho Ren Hua as Assistant Vice President, Country Head, China
He will be assigned to the growth and development of the Group’s portfolio through new management contracts, greenfield acquisitions and strategic joint ventures.
The Board of Banyan Tree Holdings announced the appointment of Ho Ren Hua as Assistant Vice President, Country Head, China upon recommendation by Management, the Nominating & Remuneration Committee of the group.
Mr. Ho will be assigned to the growth and development of BTH Group’s portfolio through new management contracts, greenfield acquisitions and strategic joint ventures as well as responsible for owners relations on all pre-opening projects in China. Manage the Shanghai office and help co-ordinate all of BTH Group’s functions and business units' activities in China.
Ho Ren Hua joined the Group in April 2010 as Associate Director, Corporate Development (China). In April 2011, Ho Ren Hua was appointed Executive Director, Corporate Development (China). In this role, he was responsible for the corporate planning in the Greater China region. His focus was to assist and develop BTH Group’s portfolio though new management contracts, greenfield acquisitions and strategic joint ventures. He was also responsible for owners relations on all pre-opening projects in China, according to a Banyan Tree report.
Prior to this, Ho Ren Hua worked with the international management consultancy company, Bain & Company Inc. across the US, Hong Kong and China offices and has experience in private equity due diligence, portfolio strategy as well as performance improvement. His project experience in China includes feasibility studies for real estate acquisition and development, commercial due diligence as well as portfolio optimization for a global private equity client.
Ho Ren Hua was also with Sino Capital and had experience in comprehensive financial analysis, research and modeling for a natural gas project investment and listed Chinese Rubber Companies and had a hand in creating an extensive private equity client database for 30 potential domestic, foreign and infrastructure funds.
