InterContinental Bali Resort welcomes new resort manager Abdul Hafid bin Mohamed Gaus

InterContinental Bali Resort is delighted to announce the appointment of Abdul Hafid bin Mohamed Gaus as its new Resort Manager. With more than two decades of distinguished leadership in the hospitality industry across Asia, Hafid brings exceptional expertise and fresh vision to one of Bali’s most iconic luxury destinations.

Born in Singapore, Hafid has built a career defined by passion, dedication, and a forward-thinking approach to hospitality. His professional journey spans some of the world’s leading hotel brands, with extensive experience in pre-openings, rebranding, relaunches, and large-scale renovations. Known for his ability to foster collaborative, growth-oriented teams, Hafid is equally committed to creating unique and memorable guest experiences.

Most recently, Hafid served as Hotel Manager at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, Singapore, an IHG property, where he played a pivotal role in advancing operational excellence. His earlier career includes leadership positions as Executive Assistant Manager i/c Food & Beverage at Shangri-La Jakarta, Indonesia (2016–2023), Director of Food & Beverage at Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore (2012–2016), where he successfully oversaw the rebrand from Traders Hotel, and Director of Food & Beverage at Shangri-La Mactan Resort & Spa, Cebu, Philippines (2009–2011).

A respected figure in the culinary and beverage sector, Hafid has also served as a panelist for prestigious wine competitions and summits, including the Singapore National Sommelier Competitions and the Shangri-La Wine Summit.

Guided by strong family values of responsibility, continuous learning, and nurturing growth, Hafid embraces a leadership philosophy centered on collaboration and innovation. Married and a proud father of one, he is passionate about integrating AI, new technologies, and robotics into hotel operations to elevate efficiency and further enhance guest experiences.
