Singapore Polytechnic partners with SPH Media, VICPA to upskill creatives

SPH Media’s STUDIO+65 will offer students hands-on experience in virtual production, whilst VICPA will conduct a study on creative freelancing.

Singapore Polytechnic (SP) signed Memorandums of Understanding with SPH Media and the Visual, Audio, Creative Content Professionals Association (VICPA) to upskill students and freelancers with virtual production and AI.

Through this partnership, SPH Media’s STUDIO+65 will offer students hands-on experience in virtual production, storytelling, and digital content creation, providing opportunities for internships, job shadowing, scholarships, and awards.

Meanwhile, VICPA will conduct Singapore’s first study on creative freelancing, examining how AI and emerging technologies are reshaping the industry.

The findings will help shape new training programs and professional development initiatives for freelancers navigating the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

SP will also launch Virtual Production Studio in Q2 of 2025, which will be equipped with motion capture, VR capabilities, and live-streaming technology to train the next generation of creative professionals.
