China Mining International's Chief Executive resigns

Despite Guo Ying Hui's resignation, he remains as the Executive Chairman.

The Board of China Mining International announced the reesignation of Guo Ying Hui as Chief Executive Officer. His retirement from Chief Executive Officer in line with the revised Code of Corporate Governance 2005, which recommends a clear division of responsibilities at the top of a company to ensure a balance of power and authority.

Following his stepping down as CEO, Mr Guo Ying Hui remains as the Executive Chairman of the Company, according to a China Mining International report.

Mr Guo Ying Hui, 48, is responsible for the formulation of the overall business strategies and policies.
