COTD: SG dominates SEA equity market with $1.2b in deals in H1

It represented 65.1% share of the total equity funding value across SEA markets.

Singapore recorded 129 equity deals, valued at $1.5b (US$1.2b) in the first half of the year, representing 65.1% share of the total equity funding value across Southeast Asian markets.

Other markets, such as Vietnam, showed promising activity in deal value (14.9%), whilst Indonesia recorded a healthy deal count (14.8%).

Moreover, the Philippines secured $110m (US$86m) from 15 deals, which propelled its share to 4.7% of the total value–notably edging past Indonesia's $78m (4.2% share) despite fewer transactions.

Malaysia, with 24 deals totalling $12.8m (US$10m), and Thailand, with 3 deals also totalling $12.8m (US$10m), rounded out the primary investment destinations.
