
Sembcorp unit gets investment licence to develop 293.7-ha. industrial park in Vietnam
The 293.7-hectare industrial park is located in Can Tho City.
Sembcorp Industries’ wholly-owned subsidiary, Sembcorp Development, has received an investment licence to develop a new 293.7-hectare industrial park in Can Tho City in Vietnam.
In a statement, Sembcorp said the industrial park will be operated by the Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park Group (SVIP).
“Sembcorp, through the VSIP Group, has a portfolio of 11 large-scale developments spread across eight provinces in Vietnam. We are glad to receive the continuing trust of the Vietnam government, to support the country’s economic progress and create meaningful social impact,” said Sembcorp Development CEO Kelvin Teo.

Sembcorp, and its partner Becamex IDC Corporation serve as the joint master developer of VSIP projects.
The company said the project is not expected to have a material impact in Sembcorp Industries’ earnings per share and net asset value per share for the financial year.
