RH Petrogas audit panel appoints external counsel after PwC review

Company strengthened governance processes following whistleblowing assessment.

RH Petrogas Limited said its audit committee has decided to strengthen internal controls and governance processes following the completion of an independent review by PricewaterhouseCoopers Risk Services Pte Ltd (PwC), according to a press release.

Following the review, the audit committee resolved to appoint external legal counsel to assist with further work and to review and enhance the company’s whistleblowing framework, internal controls, and corporate governance practices, according to the announcement.

The company said PwC completed the independent review and submitted an executive summary to the audit committee, while WongPartnership LLP provided a legal opinion outlining key observations and recommendations. The audit committee reviewed both reports and discussed the appropriate course of action, according to the press release.

RH Petrogas said the audit committee will oversee the implementation of remedial measures, with the follow-up process targeted for completion by 31 July 2026. The company added that it will make further announcements if any material developments arise from the review.

The independent review was initiated in response to matters raised under the company’s whistleblowing policy, RH Petrogas said.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
