All three Fu Yu Corp independent directors quit
They all referenced FYSCS investigations as a concern.
All three of Fu Yu Corporation’s independent directors have resigned, according to company filings on 15 June.
Christopher Huang, Daniel Poh, and Royston Tan have all stepped down from their roles as independent directors.
Huang, who also served as independent non-executive chairman, resigned with effect from 11 June. Poh and Tan’s resignations were announced in separate filings on the same day.
Tan and Huang cited persistent attempts to remove them from the board, despite not holding executive positions.
Poh, meanwhile, stepped down over differences in opinion regarding the company’s direction on non-operational matters. Huang and Tan echoed this concern, pointing to ongoing investigations into Fu Yu Supply Chain Solutions (FYSCS) as an example of the disagreements.
With just one executive director left, Fu Yu said it plans to appoint new board members within three months to meet SGX Mainboard Rule 210(5), which requires a minimum of two independent directors.
