STT GDC expands Jakarta campus with AI-ready data centre
Three more facilities are underway as the group scales its campus.
ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) has expanded its Indonesian data centre campus by launching STT Jakarta 2 and initiating new development phases for three other facilities.
The new data centre has commenced operations with 24 megawatts (MW) of IT load capacity, the Singapore-headquartered data centre operator said.
The group has also topped out STT Jakarta 3, whilst STT Jakarta 5 and STT Jakarta 6 have broken ground, with each facility planned to support 40MW of IT load.
The expanded campus is being built to support high-density and artificial intelligence workloads.
Its data halls are designed for next-generation NVIDIA Vera Rubin and Vera Rubin Ultra platforms and are being prepared for liquid cooling.
The campus will also feature resilient power configurations and carrier-neutral connectivity.
STT GDC said the expansion forms part of its plan to support Indonesia’s growing digital infrastructure requirements.
Indonesia’s data centre capacity is projected to reach about 2.7 gigawatts by 2030, it added.
