DBS’ Tan Su Shan tops Fortune’s most powerful women in Asia list

Executives from Temasek, ExxonMobil, Dow, and others also made the cut.

DBS Chief Executive Tan Su Shan, who assumed leadership of the bank earlier this year, has claimed the top spot on Fortune’s list of the Most Powerful Women in Asia.

Singapore continues to stand out in the region, with several prominent executives securing spots on the prestigious ranking.

Amongst them are Png Chin Yee (Temasek, No. 17), Jenny Lee (Granite Asia, No. 30), Geraldine Chin (Exxon Mobil Asia Pacific, No. 43), Puay Koon Chia (Dow, No. 45), Kawal Preet (FedEx, No. 46), Belinda Tanoto (RGE, No. 51), Adeline Sum (NTUC Enterprise, No. 68), Nicole Tan (Shiseido, No. 71), and Michelle Cheo Hui Ning (Mewah International, No. 87).

Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau dominate this year’s MPW Asia list with 34 executives, whilst India and Thailand each count eight. Around 40 newcomers also made the cut.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
