eToro announces SG expansion after securing CMS licence

The investing platform has a global community of 40 million registered users.

 

Trading and investing platform eToro announced its Singapore expansion with the activation of its Capital Markets Services (CMS) licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. 

 

The CMS licence will allow retail investors in Singapore to access stocks from more than 20 of the world’s leading stock exchanges, exchange-traded funds, and derivatives on eToro’s social investing platform.

 

The company also announced the appointment of Yaki Razmovich as Managing Director of eToro Singapore and Asia, who will be responsible for building eToro’s franchise in Singapore.

 

“Our goal is to empower new and experienced investors alike through eToro’s unique products and user-friendly platform. We look forward to welcoming them to our vibrant, global community of 40 million registered users,” Razmovich said in a statement.
 

eToro allows users to view other investors’ portfolios and statistics and interact with them. Users can also practice trading using eToro’s Virtual Portfolio and access thousands of free financial education resources in the eToro Academy.
