NETS appoints Susan Hwee as Chairman
Ms Susan Hwee will take over starting 1 September.
Ina release, NETS announced today the appointment of Ms Susan Hwee, Managing Director & Head, Group Technology & Operations at United Overseas Bank (UOB), as the new Chairman of NETS.
Ms Hwee joined the NETS Board in June 2002. She brings with her 30 years of experience in the financial and IT industry and currently leads UOB’s Group Technology & Operations division. Prior to joining UOB, Ms Hwee held senior positions in several large technology and banking organisations, including at IBM and Citibank N.A.
Said NETS CEO Jeffrey Goh, “The payments industry has undergone rapid advancement in recent years with the onset of new technologies and applications. We welcome Susan’s experience and expertise in this field as we look to expand our payment capabilities to deliver solutions that support our merchants’ needs.”
Ms Hwee's appointment takes effect from 1 September 2012 and will be for a term of three years. She succeeds outgoing chairman, Mr Ching Wei Hong, Chief Operating Officer, OCBC Group.
The Board and Management of NETS would like to thank Mr Ching for the valuable contributions he has made to NETS.
