Cyber attacks on Singapore production data among highest in SEA

Three in 10 companies hit by cyber attacks reported that their production data was targeted.

In Singapore, 37% of companies that experienced a cyber attack reported their production data was targeted, ranking third in Southeast Asia behind Malaysia and Vietnam (399%).

However, cyber attackers don't only target production data. Data from Commvault showed that in Singapore, they have also targeted secondary and backup environments.

Around 40% of companies reported attackers targeted their backup data archives, whilst over 5% said attackers targeted their secondary replicated copies.

Attacks on production, secondary, and backup environments were highest in Singapore (16%), Vietnam (17%), and Thailand (23%).
