HDB resale prices see 0.2% uptick as volume slumps

Only 1,585 resale flats were sold in November.

There was a very slight increase of 0.2% in HDB resale price for the month of November. According to SRX Property, HDB 3 Rooms, HDB 4 Rooms and HDB 5 Rooms increased by 0.2%, 0.2% and 0.3% respectively. However, the resale prices of HDB Executive decreased by 0.3%.

In terms of a yearly basis, prices have decreased by 0.7% from last year. It has fallen 11.3% since its peak in April 2013.

The small increase came as resale volume slumped in the said month. A total of 1,585 HDB resale flats were sold in November, a 5.3% decrease from 1,673 transacted units in October.

On a yearly basis, resale volume actually increased 7.1% compated to 1,480 units resols in November. It was down by 56.6% compared to its peak of 3,649 units in May 2010.
