HDB to roll out over 10,000 new flats in February 2025

The flats will be offered under the BTO and SBF exercises.

The Housing and Development Board (HDB) will offer approximately 5,000 Build-To-Order (BTO) flats in Kallang/Whampoa, Queenstown, Woodlands, and Yishun in February 2025.

HDB will also hold its largest-ever Sale of Balance Flats (SBF) exercise, offering more than 5,500 flats across various towns and estates. About 4 in 10 flats will be completed, while the remaining units will be completed progressively between 2025 and 2028.

Buyers are encouraged to apply for an HDB Flat Eligibility (HFE) letter and submit the required documents by 15 December 2024.

HDB aims to launch a total of 100,000 flats between 2021 and 2025. In 2024, HDB launched 21,225 new flats, comprising 19,637 BTO flats and 1,588 flats under the SBF exercise in February 2024.

Meanwhile, HDB’s Resale Price Index (RPI) increased 2.7% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to 192.9 in Q3, with resale transactions rising 10.7% QoQ to 8,142 cases.

On the other hand, approved HDB flat rentals in Q3 decreased by 4.6% QoQ to 9,118 cases, down from 9,554 cases in Q2.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
