Home developers' sales tumble 12.6% in April

Only 1,555 private homes were sold.

Singaporean developers managed to sell only around 1,555 private residential properties in April, 12.6% lower than last month's 1,780 units sold in March.

According to the latest data from Urban Redevelopment Authority, (URA), developers sold around 371 units of executive condo units, bringing the overall number of private homes sold to 1,926.

Units from suburban areas led April's sales with 967 deals, followed by city fringe where 558 transactions were recorded. Only 30 deals were concluded in core central region.

The best selling condominium project for the said month was Frasers Centrepoint's Seaside Residences in Siglap. It managed to sell 419 of its 560 units launched. On the EC side, MCL Land's Sol Acres shone the brightest with 122 units sold.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
