Singapore named 'Best Global Seaport' for the first time
The country also won 'Best Seaport in Asia' for the 33rd time.
In a press release by the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), the country’s seaport was awarded “Best Global Seaport” for the first time.
The Port of Singapore was also named “Best Seaport in Asia” for the 33rd time. These two awards were given by the 2021 Asia Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards (AFLAS).
Chief Executive Quah Ley Hoon of MPA attributed this achievement to partnerships that helped them keep their role in global supply chains.
The annual AFLAS is organised by Asia Cargo News to highlight leading service providers in the supply chain community. Winners in this category were determined by votes.
