ST Engineering and Nokia ink 5G and IoT deal

They will enhance digital and connectivity solutions to boost business operations.

ST Engineering entered into a partnership agreement with Nokia on key technology areas such as 5G and Internet of Things (IoT), an announcement revealed.

ST Engineering will be selling Nokia’s internet protocol (IP), optical networking and wireless broadband solutions which include 5G, last-mile and analytics. Nokia in return will integrate ST Engineering’s Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) and cybersecurity solutions in its global project offerings.

The collaboration of the two, on enhanced digital and connectivity solutions will cover markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand, in hopes of expanding plans for the joint portfolio beyond the Asia-Pacific region henceforward.

Some of the solutions under the joint portfolio include 5G, analytics and automation that will help boost business operations.
