IDA International names Vincent Wong Wah Kit as CEO

He succeeded founding CEO Seah Chin Siong.

IDA International has appointed Mr Vincent Wong Wah Kit as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mr Wong will drive IDA International’s charter to export Singapore’s infocomm solutions to help public agencies across the world deliver socio-economic outcomes enabled through public service infocomm.

Mr Wong, a 24–year veteran of the management consulting and ICT industries, assumed the position on 10 December 2012 and joined from Accenture, where he was Partner in charge of delivering Accenture’s Health and Public Service technology business in ASEAN. In that role, he had worked closely with clients from the Singapore government and ASEAN countries and directed large transformation, systems implementation and maintenance programmes.

Chairman of IDA International Mr Asad Jumabhoy said, “The Board considered several candidates from the industry and those with public sector experience. Mr Wong brings with him the best of both worlds: commercial experience in the public service domain, which is extremely suitable to the nature of IDA International’s work.”

Mr Wong succeeds IDA International’s founding CEO Seah Chin Siong. The Board of Directors of IDA International expresses its deep appreciation to Mr Seah for his instrumental role in the formation of IDA International and presiding over its early years. Since its inception in February 2009, IDA International has been helping to bring Singapore ICT companies and their public service solutions to overseas governments.

Mr Wong said, “Over the last three years under the guidance of Mr Seah, and leveraging on Singapore’s public sector infocomm experience and expertise. IDA International has established engagements in countries such as Trinidad & Tobago, Bahamas, Kenya, Qatar, Oman, Bhutan, China and Brunei.”

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
