Small car, motorbike COE premiums up in March

Those for category A cars now worth $50,789.

The Certificate of Entitlement premiums for small cars and motorcycles rose in the first bidding exercises for the month of March.

According to the figures from the Land Transport Authority, category A cars' premiums rose to $50,789. There were 3,190 bids received, only 2,045 of which were successful.

For category B cars, premiums jumped to $53,300. Motorcycle COE premiums also increased, now at $7,483.

Only the goods vehicles and buses saw a slump in COE premium cost, down to $49,002.
