What makes the latest GLS home sites slightly worse than 1H13's list

Suburban regions without prime sites?

According to Knight Frank, the government has maintained a constant supply of residential land sites (including ECs) of around 14,155 units in the upcoming 2nd Half 2013 GLS Programme.

Knight Frank said that this is to cater for an anticipated increase in population and home demand over the medium term. However, almost all of the residential sites under the Confirmed List are in the suburban regionswith no prime sites, unlike in the 1H-2013 Confirmed List where there were plum sites available such as at Coronation Road / Victoria Park Road and Mount Sophia.

Sites in the Reserve List, which are mainly brought forward from the previous 1H-2013 Reserve List, are generally of better locations and sites in the City centre and fringe areas could be triggered by developers should market conditions strengthen.
