Changi Airport soars to 9th place in int'l passenger traffic rankings

It bounced back from its 95th spot in 2021.

The Airports Council International (ACI) World listed Singapore Changi Airport as the ninth airport with the most international passengers enplaned and deplaned.

According to ACI's report, Changi Airport enplaned and deplaned a total of 31,902,000 international passengers in 2022. This reflects a 952.9% change versus its data from 2021.

But this is still 52.8% lower compared to the pre-pandemic 2019 data.

However, in the overall rankings of the busiest airports globally, enplaning and deplaning domestic and international passengers, Singapore did not make it to the top 10 list.

Five of the 10 are airports in the United States: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Dallas Fort Worth Airport, Denver Airport, and Chicago O'Hare Airport.
