Global air travel is expected to return to its pre-pandemic level by 2023, as projected by the International Air Transport Association, which a Scoot’s top official supported.

Campbell Wilson, chief executive of Scoot, said the 2023 forecast is “about the right timeframe,” but noted he expects recovery to differ across geography and by business model.

Property firms in Singapore are planning to expand overseas to capture growth potential in the region.

Firms noted the overseas expansion will also give Singaporeans greater access to properties abroad as well as better technology. Property Guru, for one, recently agreed to buy shares of the REA Group’s operating entities in Malaysia and Thailand.
