Neste to slow down ramp-up of Singapore SAF plant

The delay will impact the company’s Q4 sales.

Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) producer Neste said the ramp-up of its plant in Singapore has been “slowed down” due to a “recent shutdown at the new line for additional equipment inspection and repair works.”

In an announcement, Neste said the ongoing equipment inspection and repair works at its Singapore plant may impact its sales volume in 2H23 by around 100,000 tonnes.

“[It will] mainly impact the fourth-quarter sales,” said Neste.

Meanwhile, Neste reported that its refining margin outlook for its oil products for the third quarter improved.

In 3Q23, Neste’s oil products’ total refining margin is expected to be significantly higher than in the second quarter of 2023 (USD 16.7/bbl).
